One of the most effective ways to institute change in the local and national sphere is direct constituent lobbying. Bayloop is in the process of creating working and call groups here in California, but for the time being, you can make your voice heard with the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) through their groups available here.

It's incredibly important to have a detailed understanding of what each policy we advocate for entails, and for that, visit this database for information on all proposed policies.

Bayloop is a nationally-chartered organization, and it's easiest for us to sufficiently provide the necessary resources when you start your chapter here.

It's next to impossible for advocacy to take place if you don't stay readily informed on who your local representative happens to be. To do so, please check out this link, which provides information on your local representative and their contact details.

I know the knee-jerk response - "What's signing a petition supposed to do?"  The truth is, they are effective, with one condition: do more than just sign. Petitions can be incredibly successful in providing necessary awareness for a cause, meaning media focus, meaning change. Support that change here.
